Job Title: Interim Manager, Sterile Processing
Location: West Burlington, Iowa campus
Duration: Permanent-Full Time
Shift/Schedule: Day shifts 
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

• Job Description: -
• Provide direction and leadership for the delivery of services in the Sterile Processing Department.
• Plan and implement departmental budgets.
• Monitor productivity reports and take actions to support efficiency.
• Collaborate with other leaders to achieve favorable financial performance.
• Oversee key departmental operations, including:
  • Recruitment and hiring
  • Training and development
  • Scheduling and assigning work
  • Performance evaluation
  • Rewarding and disciplining staff
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of sterile processing operations and AAMI standards.
• Possess knowledge of instrument tracking systems.
  
   

Education

• Required: High school diploma or GED.
• Required: One-year certificate from college or technical school (Certified tech or similar program).
• Preferred: Associate’s degree in Leadership or Healthcare-related field.

Work Experience

• Required: 4–6 years in sterile processing (decontamination, assembly, sterilization, storage).
• Required: 1–3 years of leadership experience.
