Ochsner Children's Health Center in Lafayette is seeking a second BC/BE Pediatric Cardiologist. Interest and advanced training in fetal echocardiography are highly desirable. Responsibilities include outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations, and limited regional clinic activities. The Lafayette campus is an integral part of the Ochsner Children's Hospital cardiology network.
Our comprehensive program includes 88 primary care pediatricians across 27 locations in Louisiana and Mississippi, and over 270 pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists. We are the region's leading multispecialty provider for children and young adults, offering services such as congenital heart surgery, transplantation, advanced GI and Hepatology, spine surgery, Hematology-Oncology, Cleft Palate/Cranio-Facial Surgery, and a multidisciplinary developmental pediatrics center.
Ochsner Children's Hospital features a 67-bed Level IV Neonatal ICU, PICU, pediatric CV-ICU, Pediatric EMU, and pediatric acute units, supported by a dedicated transport team. We are constructing a new 5-story Children's Hospital expected to open in 2028.
In addition to clinical care, we host an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency, teach residents and medical students, and participate in research and multi-center studies. Ochsner Children's has ranked in the top 50 Children's Hospitals in the US for 8 consecutive years and is the #1 ranked Children's Hospital in Louisiana.
