About The Role

Crunchyroll is growing and changing, presenting unique challenges and opportunities to support millions of anime fans around the world. The Ecosystem Engineering team provides seamless help to our partners and internal stakeholders, ensuring an exceptional experience for all Crunchyroll fans.

As a Partner Engineer, you'll lead deployments, optimize implementations, and handle integrations to build successful, long-term partnerships. You will own technical engagements and be the key driver in finding creative/innovative solutions that lead Crunchyrolls experiences to the next level.

You will lead projects that require close collaboration with other teams like Product, Engineering, Business Development, Program management, and Marketing. You'll play a key role in improving existing operations, defining and commercializing new solutions, bridging product gaps, automating partner operations, and taking new initiatives from conception to successful deployment. You will lead and develop prototypes and MVP for testing and deployment of new systems

In the role of Principal Software Engineer, you will report to the Senior Director, Ecosystem Engineering Group. We are considering applicants for the locations of Los Angeles, Dallas, and San Francisco.

About You

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• You have 15+ years of experience working with embedded devices, Consumer Electronics manufacturers, SoC providers, and Pay TV Operators; platform experience with AndroidTV, AppleTV, ChromeOS, or WebOS a plus.
• You have 15+ years of experience in building complex systems in collaboration with partners.
• You have experience using various web technologies such as JavaScript,Typescript, Node, NPM, HTML 5, React and Websockets.
• You have experience working with C/C++, client-side Java, systems, and Python.
• You have experience with Client/Server and scalable technologies.
• You're able to speak to both business and technical partners.
• You have previous exposure with integrating payment systems.

About The Team

The Ecosystem Engineering team at Crunchyroll plays a pivotal role in enhancing and expanding our users' experiences. We collaborate extensively with a diverse network of partners to integrate, test, deploy, and improve the Crunchyroll streaming application, content discovery APIs, and billing integration APIs over the entire device lifecycle using Crunchyroll tools and data. Our primary objective is to drive growth, open new acquisition channels, and optimize our services' scope and quality. The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyrolls Total Rewards offerings for employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, employer matched retirement savings, time-off programs, and progressive health benefits and perks.
