Job Details

• The Post Partum Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients during the postpartum phase of Obstetrical care by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures.
• The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available.
• Provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
• Will help do recoveries in Labor & Delivery.

Job Requirements

• At least 1+ years experience required.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NRP.

Schedule Information

• Night Shift 7p - 7:30a - 3/12's.
• Weekend (4 shifts) in a 6 week period; weekend shifts are Friday and Saturday night.
• No On Call.
• Will do block scheduling: 3 shifts in a row.

Unit Specific Information

• Postpartum unit within Obstetrical care.
• Involvement with Labor & Delivery recoveries.
