Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The staff physician in the clinical track is responsible for providing direct outpatient care to GI and Hepatology patients at Uhealth Doral and/or Sol Mia in North Miami. Sol Mia is opening in Fall 2025. The physician will provide outpatient clinical and endoscopic services to patients requiring Gastroenterology/Hepatology services and screening procedures.

Outline of additional responsibilities includes, but is not limited to:

• Maintain outpatient clinic and endoscopic procedures at Uhealth Doral / Sol Mia.
• Rotate on night and weekend on-call duties at UHT and JMH, proportionate to other physicians.
• Rotate on inpatient services at UHT or JMH, proportionate to other providers.

Qualifications:

• MD Degree with ACGME US internal medicine internship, residency, and GI fellowship.
• Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine (or board eligible).
• Board Certification in Gastroenterology / Hepatology (or board eligible).
• Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligibility to apply (must have license prior to credentialing).
• Valid DEA licensure.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Must be able to provide prerequisite case logs for procedures performed in the prior two years for credentialing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.
• Must maintain CME credits to meet institutional and state licensing requirements.
• Excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe, quality care and meet institutional standards.
• Ability to respond to close encounters within 72 hours.
