At DoorDash, we serve a diverse audience of Merchants, Dashers, and Customers. Success to us means influencing product and company strategy, while building amazing experiences for all of these audiences. These experiences often stem from insights that the Research team brings to the table. You will help guide the company to bigger and bolder new bets. Your scope will be broad and your autonomy will be high.
The Research team is looking for a researcher who will proactively shape insights and innovation with our core Merchant team. You will primarily work with our Merchant Success and Live-Order Management teams, who build tools for restaurants, retailers, and other partners to manage their business on DoorDash and get orders out the door, driving bottom-line impact for businesses, from mom-and-pop shops to nationwide chains. Your work will span from understanding how Merchants onboard to DoorDash and set up their menus, to the core Merchant UIs (e.g., tablet, app, portal) and in-store Dasher logistics.
You will be responsible for executing high-velocity research, working with Designers, Product Managers, Strategy and Operations folks, and other cross-functional partners to iteratively test existing products and upcoming innovations, ensuring that each launch meets merchants expectations. You will also partner closely with a Staff Researcher on the core Merchant team to plan and execute a complementary portfolio of iterative and strategic research with short- and long-term impact. Together, you will be the voice of the merchant, pushing teams to deliver bottom-line value to DoorDash partners.
You will report directly to the Head of Merchant Research within our Product & Design organization. This role is hybrid, at least 1 day a week working from one of our Design hubs in Seattle, San Francisco, Sunnyvale, or New York.
